Okay so dairy-free chocolate desserts yeah they’ve been my lifesaver lately. I mean I used to think cutting dairy meant giving up real chocolate joy forever but turns out you can make some pretty damn good stuff right in your own kitchen. Like seriously good no one guesses it’s missing the milk part.
I’m sitting here in my little Midwest apartment right now the radiator is clanking like always and there’s still a smear of cocoa on the counter from last night’s “experiment.” My fridge is stocked with oat milk and random cans of coconut stuff because that’s just how life goes when you’re avoiding dairy. I started messing around with dairy-free chocolate desserts maybe six months ago after a really bad night of ice cream regret and honestly some batches were trash but others? Chef’s kiss even if I’m no chef.
Why I Got Into Making Dairy-Free Chocolate Desserts
Honestly? Bloating sucks. And feeling like crap after dessert sucks more. So dairy-free chocolate desserts let me have my fix without the payback. I keep simple stuff around cocoa powder unsweetened from the grocery store coconut milk that’s been in the pantry since who knows when maybe some overripe avocados I pretend are for “health.”
First time I tried I legit set off the smoke alarm melting chocolate wrong. My cat just stared like dude get it together. But hey trial and error right? Now I got a few staples that actually work.
